PowerPoint

Today we worked on different applications with PowerPoint. For example we worked with a quiz show presentation and I learned how to do some extra customs animations.

Tuesday, October 20th

Tuesday I was unable to attend class due to my "dress rehearsal" for my Senior Recital Jury. 9:30am was the only time we could meet (my accompanist, voice insturctor, and myself).

Last Week

Last week we were doing powerpoint presentations for midterm. I wasn't able to make a post because I thought it would be rude to be on the computer during someone's presentation. Therefore, I'm making the post now.

Today we started working on our presentations for midterm. I'm working on something with music for mine and trying to find a concept that I can teach in 5 minutes. It shouldn't be too hard. We'll probably post something to show our final project.

Last class we worked on coming up with our layout for our webquest. We now have a better idea of what we will be trying to accomplish in the webquest. Once we are finished we will post a link or something so that you can access it. :)

2 Things I Learned

The first thing that was interesting I learned was all of the google applications. Making a site and using google docs, forms, calendars, and such will definitely be something that I can use in a music classroom. This will be very beneficial in performance ensembles by making a website and putting pertinent information on there like the calendar for dates of performances and such and the parents can even see it.

The second thing I learned in this class is the use of the snipping tool. This tool is very neat in the fact that we can take "pictures" of anything on the computer screen.
